Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Not all National Trust properties are open yet, and those that are require pre-booking via their website, no later than 15:00 on the day prior to visit.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Cobham Wood and Mausoleum

Absorb the atmosphere at the restored Cobham Mausoleum, designed by the 18th-century architect James Wyatt and memorably featured in the BBC's Restoration programme.
Explore the history by visiting the South Lodge Barn and see our film graphically detailing this incredible rescue story.
Then follow in the footsteps of the original owners, the Darnley family, and walk through the peaceful ancient cattle grazed woodland, once part of their extensive Cobham Hall estate, to visit the mausoleum. You can have a guided walk (subject to volunteer availability) and view the chapel and crypt on Sundays from  April - September.
